Junior Varsity Head Coaches

Coach James Ssemambo, Junior Varsity Girls' Head Coach

Coach James Young, JV Boys’ Head Coach, is currently in his inaugural year as the Head Coach of the Junior Varsity Boys for the Huntsville High Soccer Program.
Coach Young’s fascination and dedication to soccer began at the early age of four in Bellevue, Nebraska. At age eight he relocated to Huntsville, Alabama where he continued his adoration for the sport by competing with the Eagles Soccer Club and the Rocket City Kicks. Soon after, Young enrolled at Huntsville High School (HHS) where he became a member of the varsity soccer team for two years and earned the captain band as a senior. Additionally, Young led HHS to the state playoffs where the team received the honor of 3rd place. After high school graduation, he began his collegiate endeavor as a walk-on for the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) soccer program. Young was red-shirted his freshman year before deferring his position on the team to focus on furthering his education.
After receiving his college degree, James returned to soccer and became a competing member of the Premier Division of the Huntsville Adult Soccer League for the Foot Clan Soccer Club. In 2006, Young was offered an assistant coaching position with the Kicks U15 boys. Coach Young helped guide the team to championship victories in the ‘06 Adidas United Cup of Champions, ’07 Memphis Super Cup, ’07 Adidas United Cup of Champions and the ‘07 Kicks 15th Invitational.
